Lush Cosmetics : the comforter bubble bar

Oh my goodness. Wow. Wow. Wow.

Ladies; allow me to introduce you to your new best friend. This is 'The Comforter' and it is everything like getting into bed and curling up under your favourite duvet. I don't advise sleeping in the bath though, really. If lavender isn't your thing, you absolutely must give this a try.

It's drool-inducingly fruity. To me, it gave off more of a darker berry - blackcurrants, cherries, blackberries... - scent than anything else and for some reason I thought I could smell custard but I'm pretty sure that was my mind playing tricks on me. I wish I could find another word, but comforting is exactly what it is. The second you smell it, you feel better.
What makes this amazing bar? Sodium Bicarbonate, Cream of Tartar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Perfume, Titanium Dioxide, Cocamide DEA, Bergamot Oil, Cassis Absolute, Cypress Oil, *Limonene, *Linalool, Colour 45410, Colour 17200
*occurs naturally in essential oils

Bergamot and Cypress Oil are said to aid relaxation and Cassis Absolute is responsible for that strong blackcurrant smell that made my knees go weak.

Oh. By the way; it's absolutely huge! At least twice as big as all the other bubble bars I've tried. Given that the price is £4.25 you certainly get your monies worth.

I always try to use half of a bubble bar per bath, but given the sheer size of this one and not knowing what volume of bubble I was going to get, I opted for just a quarter of the bar. It was the right decision!

Using a quarter of the bar per bath equates to just over £1 per bath. Trust me, it is worth every single penny!!

It's a pink bath. A bright. pink. bath. The camera on my phone wasn't terribly good at picking up just how pink it really was. The smell was absolutely intoxicating and Lily enjoyed licking my fingers after I'd given the bath "a nice swishing" as Micky Flanagan would say!

Post bath musings: This bubble bar of joy is going on my list of 'must have' products for sure. You get FOUR absolutely heavenly baths from one bar. It really is incredibly relaxing and the fragrances don't vanish, which is a huge plus point. The bubbles lasted the entire 90 minutes I spent in the tub that night yep, I just couldn't bring myself to get out!! You get the usual skin pampering and will come out smelling wonderful, ontop of feeling royally spoilt and relaxed. To get the most out of the piece you use that night, I'd crumble it up under the tap as soon as you can. After your bath, I'd also recommend getting into bed with a Wispa hot chocolate to end your bedtime pampering session!

I've also just learned that there used to be a fragrance matching this bubble bar but it doesn't seem to be in production anymore. Lush; PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!
