soulmatefood Juice Cleanse Recovery Week

Last week was definitely one of the most intense I've had for a while. I don't regret doing it at all but I am being reminded that I do have chronic fatigue syndrome and that much activity comes with a price. This week is going to be as quiet as possible so I may not be posting again this week... I'm not sure yet.

On Saturday I desperately needed to get out of the house so we went to Brighton for a while. The boyfriend went exploring a food market while I wandered around the shops. It took some serious restraint in New Look not to buy literally hundreds of pounds worth of new clothes and shoes. Holy amazeballs. Seriously.

I also made the mistake of going into Accessorize and spending way too long in there. I did find a perfect gift for a dear friend of mine though, which I should hopefully be able to post tomorrow. I also bought myself a new scarf, as my Lipsy one has been beaten up by Lily and OxO! It's gorgeous and cost around the £20 mark. There is another one I really want which is an off white colour with pastel butterflies flying up from the ends of the material. Where did all these beautiful clothes and things come from? I need them all! My spending didn't end there... I always go to the Disney store when I'm on my own in town, it's just irresistable. I very nearly came out with a £18 stuffed toy of the cheshire cat in Tim Burtons Alice in Wonderland, but compromised on this epic mug of Jack for £8.

The spending didn't stop there either! I had been craving YO! Sushi for a while and figured it'd be an ideal post-juice cleanse place to go for dinner. It really is ideal for those working on recovery from an eating disorder. You can have as much or as little as you want, it's all fresh and healthy, and the calories are on the menu! I didn't keep a record of what I had, but I was certainly full and we had a really fun time as always! I was also given a chocolate Easter Bunny from Hotel Chocolat by my adorable boyfriend! :)

Too cute to eat!!
That night was the first time since starting the juice cleanse that I was able to sleep through the night. It was bliss.

The following day was Easter Sunday, so nothing was really open. Thank God for Cafe Nero! We went there for lunch, then the boyfriend had to go back to Brighton so I retreated back to the sofa and stayed there! It was the first time I'd really had to stop, relax and think about the week I'd just had and what I'd achieved. It was quite overwhelming in some ways!

Today I woke up and felt awful. My body did not want to move and I felt sick. There was a very silly part of me that had thought the day before that maybe the fatigue evilness had finally and magically been cured. Haha. It took me almost two hours to get out of bed and make a drink. I've had to endure a visit from my mother so far today and very soon I'm due to go to my boyfriends mum's house for dinner because it's her birthday. I'm so tired!

Rest is important, especially after a 5 day juice cleanse! So listen to your body and don't ruin all that hard work! :)
